Just A Thought

I've been reading a compilation of Guenon's articles on symbolism, I've just got an exam on Semiotics at university. All that got me thinking, could it be possible to develop an Esoteric Semiotic? Can we comprehend the way our intellectual (pneumatic) body understands symbols?

A simple layout would be:

Communication Cognitive          World/
Method             Apparatus        Plane

Revelation ----> True Self ----> Divine
Symbol     ----> Penuma   ----> Intellectual
Sign          ----> Psyche    ----> Celestial
Gesture     ----> Body       ----> Material
